Twenty20’s coming to the KC Stadium!
English Cricket received a massive, and very welcome boost last weekend with the introduction of Twenty20 cricket.
Hailed as ‘revolutionary and exciting’, Twenty20 has captured the public’s imagination and it’s coming to the KC Stadium, Hull, on Sunday 13th July (2.30pm) as Yorkshire CCC take on an International XI.
The world-famous Lashings club will be providing the International XI side and already confirmed in their squad for the match are captain Richie Richardson, Australian Mark Waugh and West Indies trio, Jimmy Adams, Junior Murray and Sherwin Campbell.
Realising the game needed younger and more family-orientated spectators passing through the turnstiles, Twenty20 was devised by the English Cricket Board. These 20 overs-a-side matches last under three hours and create an edited, slog-fest version of the one-day game, which has brought this type of spectator flocking to their door.
The Twenty20 event being held at the KC Stadium will provide a fantastic opportunity for those who have never watched a cricket match to get into the game in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, whilst for cricket fans it’s the perfect opportunity to witness some of their cricketing heroes in action at close hand.
Tickets are priced at £10 for Adults, £5 for Concessions and £20 for a Family Ticket (2 adults and 2 children) and are on sale now from the KC Stadium Ticket, or by.
The Rules for this Event
