The Final of the Ron Atkinson memorial Trophy – a local competition organised by Hull Schools Rugby League Association.
In reaching the final, South Holderness beat Endeavour, David Lister and Trinity House whilst Sir Henry Cooper won their games against Isaac Newton, Winifred Holtby and Kelvin Hall.
Trinity House, Winifred Holtby, David Lister, Sydney Smith, Endeavour and this year’s finalists South Holderness, who are the present holders, have previously won the cup.
Finalists Sir Henry Cooper and South Holderness have met once before and there was only one score (4 points) that separated them, so officials are expecting a close, exciting game!
