The Dixon-sponsored opening ceremony of the brand new Kingston Communications Stadium will take place on Wednesday 18 December 2002.
As part of the celebrations Hull City will take on Sunderland for the Raich Carter Trophy with the game kicking off at 7:45pm.
However, there will be much more to the evening than football. The proceedings get underway at 5:30pm and amongst the events going on will be firework displays, a live performance by a top band, shows by street entertainers and a whole lot more on top.
The stadium is also due to be officially handed over at 5:45pm which will be a ground-breaking moment in the City of Hull's history.
Tickets go on sale on Saturday December 7 from the Boothferry Park ticket office which is open on that day between 9am and midday.
Full admission price details are lsited below:
* Season pass holders who purchase their tickets at least 24 hours in advance of the event - £10 adults and £5 concessions.
Please note that season pass holders who have reserved a seat at the new KC Stadium will have up until 24 hours ahead of the event to claim their seat.
That means that there is no rush to purchase your ticket when they go on sale on December 7 as your seat will be reserved up until Dec 17.
* General price to non-season pass holders - £15 adults and £7.50 concessions
* Admission to the North Stand is £10 adults and £5 concessions.
* A special pacakage is available for the West Stand Family Area. The cost is £35 and includes two adult and two children's tickets.
Pleaser note that students and the unemployed MUST buy tickets at least 24 hours in advance of the event to qualify for a concession price.
Supporters who have vouchers from the pre-season game against Bradford City will be entitled to £5 off an adult ticket and £2.50 a concession ticket.
Please note that to qualify for that discount you MUST purchase your tickets at least 24 hours in advance of the event and you MUST produce the Bradford voucher when purchasing.
