The sporting teams of Hull all came together in the name of charity last Sunday, when the Sports Arena at the KC Stadium played host to the special 5-a-side football competition for Comic Relief.
The clubs involved were Hull City AFC, Hull F.C, Hull Kingston Rovers, Hull Vikings, Hull Thunder, Hull Daily Mail, Viking FM and BBC Radio Humberside.
A good crowd gathered in the gallery to watch some highly entertaining stuff with a sprinkling of sports stars taking part from the teams.
Hull Thunder battled through to win the title, sponsored by the Journal Printing company. It was nice to see that the Thunder had sent a full team of actual players, the likes of Payne, Florence and co.
The presentation was overseen by Mr Mic himself Dave Burns, who played for the BBC team and put in his usual calming midfield performance.
The event organisers were very pleased by the attendance and the hospitality shown by Aaron Walton, Duty Manager and his Arena squad, who put on a professional performance themselves, keeping everything ticking over nicely
