The Rugby Football League have announced that the Kingston Communications Stadium will be the venue for the second Ashes test between Great Britain and Australia on Saturday November 15th.
Recent speculation had suggested that the stadium was a favourite to host one of the biggest fixtures in the rugby league calendar and the news has now been confirmed.
Wigan's JJB Stadium (Saturday November 8th) and the McAlpine Stadium in Huddersfield (Saturday November 22nd) have been selected to stage the first and third tests respectively.
All three games will kick off at 6:15pm.
Having the second test is a major coup both for the KC Stadium and the city itself and is early proof that the fabulous new facility does have the ability to draw top sports events.
Interest in the clash between Great Britain and the all-conquering Kangaroos is expected to be high and tickets are set to go on sale in the summer.
More information on that will be released in due course and the Stadium Management Company have requested that people do not contact the KC ticket office at the present time regarding the game.
Full Ticket availability will be announced on this site in the future.
