Local singer songwriter Phil Marshall will be providing the pre-match and half-time entertainment when Hull City AFC take on Bournemouth at the Kingston Communications Stadium this Saturday (19th April).
Phil is currently recording a solo album at the famous Abbey Road Studios, England, and in Tulsa, Oklahoma and starts a US radio tour later this year.
Nominated Best Solo Male Vocalist in the USA 'Urban Tulsa' magazine and a previous Hull Daily Mail Soundtrack competition winner, Phil is the next Hull lad to follow Hull supergroup The Raywells and local songwriter Mike Rogers to perform at the KC Stadium.
The Raywells are set to release their debut single on the Platinum Records label later this month and will perform their track ‘Dance Round The Fire’ at the Tigers final home match of the season on Saturday 26th April.
The new single will be available from Tiger Leisure on the day and Pedgie and the lads will be on hand to sign copies of the CD from outside the Viking FM Sports Bar before the game.
Top local tribute band the Beautiful Couch are also set to return to the Stadium in the near future. The Housemartins/Beautiful South cover band went down a storm when they performed back in February and are provisionally booked to open City's 2003/2004 campaign.
