Tickets for the England U21 versus Serbia and Montenegro U21 clash at the Kingston Communications Stadium on Monday June 2nd are to go on sale from Monday 12th May. The tickets, priced at £10 adults and £5 concessions for all areas, will be put on general sale at the KC Stadium ticket office.
Demand is expected to be high for the visit of David Platt's young England stars and staging the game is a big honour, both for the club and the city of Hull itself.
"We are obviously delighted that the Kingston Communications Stadium has been chosen to host such a prestigious international fixture," said Adam Pearson, Chairman of the Stadium Management Company.
"The investment from the Council at the KC Stadium was made so that the City of Hull may attract such events of a national importance, and this will help put the city on the sporting map."
Meanwhile, England Manager David Platt, said. "The Kingston Communications Stadium is a superb arena which deserves to stage international football. We hope the local fans will turn up in force and give us some vocal support."
England have already played the same opponents, then called Yugoslavia, in a friendly earlier this season. A 1-1 draw at Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium saw Shaun Wright-Phillips score his first Under-21 goal for a late equaliser, and Platt is well aware of the opposition's quality: "As we saw in September last year they are a very accomplished team capable of moments of outstanding individual skill. We know it will be a tough match and we will need to be at our best."
England are currently in third spot in Group 7 as they seek to qualify for next year's European Championship. The match against Serbia and Montenegro will be the perfect warm-up for the qualifier against Slovakia at Sunderland's Stadium of Light on 10th June.
