A galaxy of star names will be on show at the Kingston Communications Stadium, Hull, this Sunday (13th July) when Yorkshire County Cricket Club take on an International XI as part of the Steve Oldham Benefit Year.
The game is to be played in the brand new and much talked about 20/20 format, which has already excited crowds up and down the country this summer.
Yorkshire will be fielding their first team squad, while injured star Matthew Hoggard will be in attendance to lend some support to his team-mates and sign autographs.
Their opposition is to be provided by the famous Lashings Club who have put together a true International XI.
Former West Indies skipper Richie Richardson will captain a side that includes Mark Waugh, Jimmy Adams, Stuart Williams, Sherwin Campbell, Junior Murray, Chris Harris, Craig McMillan, Mohamed Akram and Franklin Rose.
It’s a team that oozes class as well as plenty of experience at Test and One Day International level.
It promises to be a tremendous sporting event for both cricket fans and those new to the game, and tickets are still available from the KC Stadium ticket office priced at £10 adults, £5 concessions, with a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) available for just £20!
Tickets can be purchased in person from the KC Stadium Ticket Office or by calling. There will also be the facility to pay on the day at the turnstiles with the action getting underway at 2.30pm.
