There have been specific incidents of mindless hooliganism at the recent matches against Southend United and Boston United, where visiting coaches have been attacked by stones and other dangerous objects by a small but aggressive section of City supporters.
This is totally unacceptable and sets the club back in its attempt to build a positive relationship with visiting clubs, licensing authorities, the Police and the citizens of the City of Hull.
Strong measures and initiatives are now being put in place from the next home game against Kidderminster, which we hope will alleviate future problems.
The City Council are also assisting by improving the roads and car park surfaces around the North Stand so that loose debris is not readily available for use by these hooligans.
It is extremely disappointing as we try to develop the football club and the good name of the stadium that a mindless few are doing so much damage to our reputation and the general feeling of goodwill that exists towards our club.
In this instance it is a very small minority. Our average gate this season of 13,300 is quite unbelievable in the third division and is testament to the phenomenal potential that this club possesses.
This potential could be held back and permanently damaged by a mindless minority of young hooligans who have no understanding of how important it is for this club and stadium to develop and prosper.
Your assistance in preventing the growth of these hooligans and their anti social behaviour would be greatly appreciated.
Any information can be given in the strictest confidence to John Cooper or by email to or just write directly to myself at the stadium.
We will act on this information promptly just as we are acting on all the CCTV evidence that we have from the Boston and Southend fixtures.
We will track these people down and we will take the most punitive action that we can, of that you can be assured.
In the meantime we will be fully reviewing our procedures over the handling of away supporters inside and outside of the stadium in order to ensure their safe passage to and from the KC Stadium.
We will make changes that alleviate these recent problems but we do need to catch and stop the hooligan element as well.
Your help in preventing these people from succeeding in their aim of dragging this football club down would be greatly appreciated.
