Hull High Fliers Trampoline Centre of Excellence at the Vulcan Arena will play host to the Great Britain versus Germany International Youth Match on Saturday 27th September.
The standard of trampolining is expected to be extremely high as the current National Champions for their age groups; Danielle Pietruszka, Tom Lewis, Hannah Lewis and Brooke Milliner are all representing the British team.
Difficulty ratings for voluntary routines are expected to reach at least a 14.0 in tariff, which will involve routines with multiple twisting double somersaults. The match will also include a double mini-tramp event, which is the first time this discipline will have been seen in the City. This is a very fast moving discipline where performers run and mount onto an extended trampette, perform a somersault skill on it and then somersault whilst dismounting, it has evolved combining gymnastics and trampolining together.
Julie Williams, The Centre of Excellence High Performance Coach, said. “ I am hoping that this event with its enviable displays of such high difficulty, will prove to inspire our squad. Jenny Fussey, Mica Smith, Joseph Backhouse and Michael Williams have all qualified for this years National Grade 2 Finals in November and Jodie Rudd, Ruth Lawson, Helen Lawson, Alix Hope, Rio Hopper, Mike Zwahlen, Claire Chapman and Helen Chapman all have the potential to be there next year.”
The double minitramp event gets underway at 11.30am, and the main trampoline event starts at 1.00pm with the final rounds taking place at 4.20pm.
