This season, Hull City AFC will again be taking part in the Nationwide Supporters of Tomorrow Scheme. The scheme has been designed by Nationwide to encourage clubs in the three divisions of the Nationwide Football League to promote female interest in football.
In addition, Nationwide, as an Official Partner of The Football Association and women's football, is supporting the clubs as they encourage women to attend Football League action.
Hull City AFC's scheme was kicked off last week as Nationwide handed over the support grant. Senior Branch Manager of Nationwide, Adrian Cross, handed the cheque to Hull City AFC Chairman Adam Pearson at The Tigers recent home match against Kidderminster.
The Nationwide grant of £750,000 will be shared equally between all Nationwide Football League clubs and will be distributed in the coming season to support the development of the women's game.
As part of the initiative, the club will be running free training sessions for girls, and will also be giving support to the Hull City girl's teams.
Free training sessions for Girl's will be held at the KC Stadium during the school half-term breaks in October and February. For details on how to register, contact Football in the Community.
Any girls interested in getting involved in football in their local area should call The FA's 'Girls Get Involved' hotline.
