KC STADIUM
Traffic and Car Parking Plan during Hull Fair
NON-MATCHDAY TRAFFIC (6th October- 19th October 2003) The Main Entrance to the KC Stadium Car Park from the foot of the Anlaby Road flyover will be closed from Monday 6th October until Sunday 19th October.
Walton Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from midnight on Wednesday 8th October and will re-open on Sunday 19th October.
All normal traffic for the KC Stadium and the Vulcan Arena will have to follow a specific circuit to enter the Stadium Perimeter and South Stand car parks during these periods.
This route is as follows:
Follow St. George’s Road to the junction with Arthur Street (circa 100 metres north of railway level crossing, St. George’s Road Primary School is on the street corner). Turn into Arthur Street and follow its full length to the T-junction with Walliker Street. Turn left on to Walliker Street and then first right (before the traffic lights) into Carnegie Street then left on to the old Anlaby Road to enter the Stadium car parks from under the Anlaby Road flyover.
This route should be used in reverse to exit the Stadium Car Parks.
(It should still be possible to turn from Anlaby Road into Walliker Street at the traffic lights until approximately 4.00pm each weekday during the Fair, but thereafter motorists will have to use the above designated route to and from the Stadium).
Walton Street car park will remain closed throughout the period of the Fair, effectively from midnight on Wednesday 8th October to Sunday 19th October. This closure will also apply for the Hull City v Carlisle United game on Sunday 12th October.
Access to the Vulcan Arena car park during the period of Hull Fair will be via the general access route (see above) and the Stadium perimeter road.
MATCHDAY TRAFFIC - Hull City v Carlisle United (Sun 12th October 2003) Access to the KC Stadium perimeter, South Stand car parks and the Vulcan Arena car parks will again be via the general access route (see non-matchday traffic).
This may lead to congestion on the approaches to the Stadium so please arrive earlier than usual if at all possible. Access into Walliker Street from Anlaby Road will also be available to help alleviate congestion.
Walton Street car park will not be available on Sunday 12th October. Supporters are urged to use the Park & Ride facility from Priory Park and public transport.
Supporters travelling to the game by car can also use the designated City Centre car parks, Argyle Street car park or the Smith & Nephew car park on Rawling Way (1.30pm onwards).
Supporters who are registered disabled and currently park on Walton Street Car Park will be able to park on the perimeter road within the park and will gain entry via the general access route (see non-matchday traffic).
The pedestrian walkway between Hull City Centre and the KC Stadium will be open for the Carlisle United fixture on Sunday 12th October, but will remain closed for the remainder of the period between Friday 10th and Sunday 19th October 2003.
