21-10-2003 Girls Play 4 Free
Hull City Football in the Community will be running free Soccer Schools for Girls at the Kingston Communications Stadium during the October and February half-term breaks.
The courses, aimed at girls aged 7-14 years, will be held from 27th – 29th October 2003, and 16th – 18th February 2004. The course is funded by Nationwide, as part of their Nationwide Supporters of Tomorrow Scheme and will give girls the chance to get quality instruction from qualified coaches.
The Nationwide Supporters of Tomorrow scheme has been designed by Nationwide to encourage clubs in the three divisions of the Nationwide Football League to promote female interest in football.
The Nationwide grant of £750,000 will be shared equally between all Nationwide Football League clubs and will be distributed in the coming season to support the development of the women’s game.
The ‘Girls Play 4 Free’ courses include a free gift, free Hull City match ticket, McDonald’s voucher, attendance certificate and an opportunity to win medals and prizes, and it doesn’t cost a penny to participate!
