The Kingston Communications Stadium is set to host another top pop concert in May 2004 headlined by UK chart-toppers Blue and their full backing band.
The concert will be one of only a handful of scheduled gigs this year by the boys from Blue and the Stadium Management Company (SMC), who are promoting the concert, are delighted to be bringing one of the country’s hottest bands to Hull.
SMC Chairman Adam Pearson said. “Following on from the success of last year’s two sell-out events, this is yet another opportunity to raise the profile of the Stadium and the City of Hull.
“With every artist we bring here, we are further establishing the KC Stadium as a major UK concert venue.
“Blue are renowned for putting on a great concert and I’m sure the show will go down a storm with their legion of fans.”
Their full live show is set to take place at the KC Stadium on Saturday 1st May 2004, when the London heart-throbs will be joined by a full support line-up to be announced next week.
Blue burst onto the music scene in May 2001 and quickly took the pop industry by storm. With mellow ballads such as Sorry, Guilty and If You Come Back, and the more up-tempo Fly By, All Rise and One Love, Blue deliver R&B/pop at its very best.
Two No.1 albums, three No.1 singles and 5 million album sales later, Blue are now officially one of the biggest pop acts in the world.
Fans from the area who missed out on tickets for last year’s ‘Guilty’ tour will now have a second chance to see their idols knock-out live show a little nearer to home.
Tickets*, priced £22 for Pitch Standing and £22, £25 and £27 for Seating, go on sale on Saturday 7th February 2004 from the dedicated concert hotline (national lo-call number, 10p per minute max.) or from www.ticketzone.co.uk.
Tickets will go on sale in person from the KC Stadium ticket office from Monday 16th February.
*Tickets are subject to a booking fee of £2.50 per ticket, and also an optional secure delivery fee (standing tickets only) and Promoters Terms & Conditions.
Ticket booking for Disabled fans: Fans wishing to purchase tickets in the disabled areas will need to call the KC Ticket office from Monday 16th February 2004, and NOT the dedicated ticket hotline number.
