Text Vote your favourite Hull City player with KC Mobile Man of the Match and help generate funds for Youth Development
Kingston Communications, the local telecomms provider and ISP, and The Stadium Management Company, today announced the launch of Kingston Mobile Man Of The Match - a new and exclusive service that directly benefits community schemes at the stadium.
Although the service will be initially trialed at Hull City matches, it is thought that the service will be provided by The Stadium Management Company for other sport related events hosted at the Kingston Communications Stadium, including football and rugby internationals.
Launching at the Hull City v Scunthorpe United home game on Saturday 13th March, the new trial service means that Hull City fans can SMS text vote for their man of the match from their mobile phone, as well as donate money directly to the club's Youth Development Fund.
Using the Kingston Communications mobile platform, fans who are at the Scunthorpe game, or even at home, can vote for their man of the match during the last 10 minutes of a game. For example, if fans think Ben Burgess has been man of the match then they text MOM (standing for man of the match) BURGESS to 89211. It's easy and the vote is available on all networks.
Fans will be reminded to vote via the electronic scoreboard at the stadium, the matchday programme and TV screens around the concourses.
An hour after the game, all entrants will be sent a text which gives the result of the vote. Plus, for all fans who vote, one lucky person will be randomly picked to receive a brand new state of the art mobile phone courtesy of Kingston Communications, and the chance to present the Man Of The Match award at the next game.
Rob Smith, marketing manager for The Stadium Management Company said. "There is real potential for this service to cover not only Hull City football games, but all sporting events at the stadium at both a national and international level. It's tremendously exciting to be the first stadium management company to offer this service, but then that's the beauty of having KC on your doorstep! We hope lots of fans will use the service especially as it will benefit community schemes at the stadium."
Commenting on the launch Patric Guntert, product marketing manager for Kingston Communications East Yorkshire Division, added. "This is the first in a number of exciting KC Stadium related mobile services that we've working on with The Stadium Management Company. This new service represents a great coming together of new technologies and sporting achievement! Fans will be spoilt for choice when voting, especially as the Tigers are doing s well!"
