Should either Huddersfield Town or the Tigers gain promotion after this weekend's eagerly awaited top of the table showdown, the Club is appealing to fans from both teams to remain in their seats after the final whistle and not attempt to enter the playing area.
It is of course an offence for spectators to enter the playing area and officials are concerned that anyone who does attempt to gain access to the pitch will result in the players being forced from the field and into the safety of the dressing rooms.
KC Stadium Manager John Cooper explains that this is in the best interests of spectators and players from both clubs. "In the event that results go in either team’s favour, we obviously want everyone to enjoy the occasion and share in what could be a truly momentous day for both clubs," he explains.
"Spectator safety is paramount, and obviously any encroachment by supporters would only delay any celebrations if the teams were forced to leave the pitch.
"Providing supporters stay in their seats at the end of the match, the players will be able to remain on the pitch allowing everyone in the stadium to view and enjoy any celebrations."
