Hull Truck are getting into the sporting spirit as cast members are to play in a special celebrity football match at the KC Stadium on Sunday 18th July.
This fun event will take place before the England versus Scotland ‘Legends’ match, which kicks off at 3.00pm. Stars of the theatre’s production of UP N UNDER will be taking part, along with Matthew Booth, formerly of EMMERDALE. Matthew is soon to be appearing in Godber’s classic comedy, TEECHERS, which opens at Hull Truck on Thursday, 2nd September. His role in Emmerdale came to an end recently when his character, Paul Marsden, plunged to a dramatic death!
The Hull Truck players, including ex-HOLLYOAKS babe, Kate Baines, and ex GLADIATOR, James Crossley, will be teaming up with members of THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTH, SKY SPORTS TV presenters and FOXY & TOM, among others, to play against their Scottish opponents. The Scottish celebrity team include Harvey of SO SOLID CREW, plus members of SIMPLE MINDS and DEACON BLUE.
Hull Truck are pleased to be taking part in this football match as they are also looking forward to a brand new production celebrating the ‘Tiger’s’ centenary promotion. CONFESSIONS OF A CITY SUPPORTER, by BAFTA Award-winning playwright, Alan Plater, makes it’s world premiere at the theatre on Thursday, 16th September.
This is one match not to be missed! The celebrity game kicks off at approximately 1.50pm.
