Simply Red, one of Britain’s most consistently successful and popular groups over the last 20 years, will be appearing live in concert at the Kingston Communications Stadium on Saturday 22nd July 2006.
The date forms part of a summer tour in support of their forthcoming album 'Amplified', the sister album to last year's Top Three album 'Simplified'.
The tour will showcase tracks from the new album as well as featuring material from their incredible back-catalogue of hits.
Singer Mick Hucknall - supported on stage by what is widely acknowledged to be one of the most accomplished live bands in the country - toured the UK last year to widespread critical acclaim, including a sold-out four night run at the Royal Albert Hall.
Tickets for the KC date are expected to go on sale from the dedicated telephone booking lines from Wednesday 8th February priced £29.50 for pitch standing and £35 or £45 for seating (subject to booking fees).
Further information will be released on Monday 6th February.
'Simplified' was the second album to be released on the band's own Simplyred.com label and followed on from 2003’s hugely successful, platinum album ‘Home’, which sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide, producing the massive top 10 hits, ‘Sunrise’ and ‘You Make Me Feel Brand New’.
The accompanying tour took in over 100 dates and played to over 1 million people across the world.
