Hull FC will provide five players for the 19-man England squad from which the team to play France on the opening day of the 2006 Federation Shield at Headingley Carnegie Stadium will be selected.
Paul Cullen, the England Head Coach who will be in charge of the team for the first time, said. “We expect the French to be tough opponents, especially now that some of their players have been through a season of engage Super League with Catalans Dragons.
“I believe that this is a balanced England squad with players who have already gained some international experience as well as other players who are ready to make a claim to compete in the 2008 World Cup.
