As a surprise to mark his 101st Birthday, Ron Farrah, who has supported Hull City AFC for 91 years, was earlier this week treated to a tour around the Kingston Communications Stadium.
It was way back in 1912 that Mr Farrah purchased his first season pass for the Tigers and although now wheelchair bound, still keeps a close eye on City’s results and progress in Nationwide Division 3.
Mr Farrah regaled tales of yesteryear to a captive audience, which included Tigers’ Chairman Adam Pearson, who presented the lifelong Tiger fan with a commemorative ‘End of an Era’ book.
Mr Farrah was very impressed with the Stadium, which occupies the site of the old Cricket Circle, a venue at which he had played as wicketkeeper for the Hull Daily Mail in his younger years.
