The Stadium Management Company (SMC) have today announced that Bonus Electrical will be the Official Sponsor for the forthcoming Elton John concert at the Kingston Communications Stadium, Hull on Saturday 19th July 2003.
Bonus Electrical are firmly established as one of Yorkshire's leading independent electrical wholesalers and are currently mid-way through a two year shirt sponsorship deal with Hull City AFC who are of course a major tenant at the KC Stadium.
The announcement follows this week's major breaking news story which will see the biggest concert of this size ever to be held in Hull take place during the summer.
Indeed this will be the first time a concert of any nature has been held at the brand new 25,000 capacity state of the art venue which opened in a blaze of glory last December.
The sponsorship deal will see the Bonus Electrical name appear within all press releases, marketing initiatives and merchandising for the event which is guaranteed to attract coverage on a world wide basis.
Adam Pearson, Chairman of SMC is delighted with the deal: "I am pleased that we have been able to secure sponsorship of the Elton John concert from such a high profile local company such as Bonus Electrical.
"It is great news for the City that such an established local firm have once again shown their support at the stadium and I would like to thank the Boanas family for their continued generosity."
The concert at the KC Stadium will be one of only a handful that Sir Elton John will be playing outside of the capital this year and as such the Stadium Management Company are confident that the concert will be a sell-out and a resounding success.
Shaun Boanas, Chairman of Bonus Electrical is equally enthusiastic about the arrangement: "The concert is great news for Hull and will certainly put the city on the map.
"I am delighted that Bonus Electrical have secured the sponsorship of this prestigious event and thrilled that the company name will be linked with such a high profile artist such as Sir Elton John."
