22-10-2003 Get ready for Blast Off!
Blast 2003 is coming to the Vulcan Arena this weekend, and music fans are being urged to turn up and show support to the up-and-coming bands performing at the event.
The talents of four of the region’s top bands - The Raywells, Mr Mojo, iceHouse and the Baseman Family, will be showcased at the new venue on Saturday 25th October, and organisers are hoping that the people of Hull will get behind the event.
KC Stadium Marketing Manager, Rob Smith, said. “We’re urging local music fans to come along and support this unique event, which will in turn help to give these bands some valuable exposure.
“It’s the first event of its kind to be held at the Vulcan Arena, and one of the biggest to be held in Hull to showcase local talent, and we are hoping it will be a success in order to act as a catalyst for future events at the Arena. “Blast is going to be a fantastic evening of entertainment. We’ve seen the success of international artists at the Stadium, now it’s time to show what local talent can do.”
Tickets, priced at just £6, can be purchased on the night of the gig - doors open at 6.30pm, with the first band due on stage at 7.30pm. Special offers will be available at the Bar, which will be open throughout the evening.
