Hull City Football Club are holding a Centenary Auction on Wednesday September 29th, which is being organised by former Tiger John Hawley.
The items required for auction should be mainly pieces of Hull City memorabilia and fans can submit programmes, replica shirts, scarves, photographs and books to go under the hammer.
There’ll also be one or two items from Boothferry Park included in the auction as well.
This is a great opportunity for fans to cash in on any unwanted items of Tigers nostalgia with part of the proceeds going directly to the club.
Speaking about the event, organiser John Hawley said. “It was an idea that came to me some time ago and gives people a chance to trawl through their attic, look under the beds and help to raise money for both themselves and the club.
“Interest in sport is as great as it's ever been and with the club celebrating its centenary, now seemed like an appropriate time to have the auction.
“We've had bits and pieces supplied already and I'm sure that over the next few weeks people will start to dig things out.
“We already have some old signage from Boothferry Park and also a few programmes from the first game at the ground in 1946.
“We will have a number of celebrity auctioneers including players from the past and this will make the auction quite an event.
“Additionally, we will be running an internet auction for smaller items so if people do have a couple of programmes or something similar they can sell them on there.
“If people do have bits of memorabilia they want to donate to the auction then they can contact me via phone or email, or even write in. Alternatively, they can contact the club directly and arrange to donate things that way.”
