Rock legends The Who have opened their European tour with rave reviews coming from their first shows in Lisbon and Madrid.
In a set lasting over two hours, the band are showcasing the very best of a career spanning over 40 years, including classics such as ‘Pinball Wizard’, ‘The Kids Are Alright’, ‘My Generation’ and ‘Substitute’.
Opening with a powerful rendition of ‘I Can't Explain’, their first chart success from 1965, they interject their other greatest hits with tracks from latest offering 'Endless Wire', giving fans from across the generations plenty to singalong to.
Also on the set list are the tracks loaned as theme tunes to hit American TV series CSI; 'Who Are You', 'Won't Get Fooled Again' and 'Baba O'Riley'.
With powerful vocals from Daltry and amazing guitar from Townshend, backed by a fantastic band which includes drummer Zak Starkey (son of Ringo Starr), they’re proving that forty years on, rock still runs strongly through their veins.
The tour will visit 26 cities in 10 countries over the coming months and one thing is for sure The Who live is a show not to be missed in 2007!
