No Discounts...

Demand for tickets for this Saturday's concert at The KC Stadium continues as fans from the region look forward to seeing rock legends The Who take to the stage in the city for the first time since 1971.

However, the Stadium Management Company are again warning fans that reduced priced tickets will not be available in the lead up to this event.

With Premium Plus seats amongst the first to sell out for the Hull date and all other seating areas selling quickly, SMC Chief Executive Adam Pearson is urging fans to be careful that they don't miss out!

"We are expecting a large walk-up on the day and the advice is for people to buy early and not leave it too late.

"Tickets are currently the cheapest out of all the venue's announced on the UK leg of the tour and with pitch standing tickets available for as little as £35, I can confirm that there will be no discounts available on the day.

"With a great support line-up confirmed with Jackson Analogue joining special guests The Ordinary Boys on the bill, we believe the final line-up offers great value for money."

The Who are back in Britain for the UK leg of their European tour, which kicks off tomorrow night in Birmingham and takes them across three UK cities before they head into Hull on Saturday for their eagerly awaited date at The KC.

Their three concerts in Europe last week received rave reviews, and to the delight of their fans the band included songs from their infamous 1973 album ‘Quadrophenia’ in their set list.

The band in fact performed three tracks from the album, ‘Drowned’, ‘5:15’ and ‘The Real Me’ - which had its first outing for over 5 years.

Pete Townshend had previously gone on record to say that Roger Daltrey decided to cut the album's songs from their setlists when he found them to be too taxing on his voice.

During his recent address at this year's South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas, Townshend said of the album. "Quadrophenia is music, it's angry music, it never lets up, it's full of energy. But it's also simply a story of a kid who has a bad day."

Tickets are on sale from the KC Stadium Ticket Office - or the following dedicated ticket hotlines:

www.ticketzone.co.uk www.ticketmaster.co.uk www.ticketline.co.uk

The KC Stadium Ticket Office will be open from 9am - 8pm on the day of the concert. Gates open at 5pm with the first support act due on at around 6pm.

All credit/debit cards bookings in person or by phone are subject to a booking fee.
